'Zombie' School Bus Barrels Toward Crowd In Heart-Stopping Video

Spectators at the Zombie School Bus Races had a scare when one of the buses lost control and came barreling toward them. Dramatic video captured the moment the bus went spinning off the track at the Sportsdome Speedway in Clarksville, Indiana and right toward a young boy who was watching the action near a fence.

Luckily, the bus was slowed by the barrier around the track and came crashing to halt just a few feet from the toddler. Miraculously, nobody was seriously injured in the crash. Officials say that there was an ambulance on-site but it was not needed and they never called the police.

The video was recorded by Ashley Ware, who told ABC News that she decided to leave with her seven-year-old son following their close encounter with the bus.

“All the buses were doing figure-eight maneuvers, and it was obvious they were trying to crash. I don’t think they were supposed to head straight for the barrier though”, she said. “We were three rows up and about six feet to the left of where it hit. The little boy in the video had some treatment, they said he had some fluid in his eye, but he seemed fine. The driver of the bus was fine also, and he got out and waved to the crowd afterwards. Straight after the crash my seven-year-old son turned to me and said ‘Let’s go’”
