Halsey & Marshmello Announce New Song 'Be Kind': See The Teaser

Halsey and Marshmello are linking up on a new collab.

A few days ago, the EDM musician and “Colors” singer-songwriter teased a team-up set to release this Friday (May 1). Sharing no more than an animated illustration of a growing flower to hint at the team-up, the pair announced yesterday that the song would be called “Be Kind,” and it drops at midnight tonight.

The project will be the newest offering from Marshmello after releasing “Been Thru This Before” featuring Southside and Saint Jhn, which arrived earlier this month. For Halsey, it’s the latest we’ll get to hear from the pop star since she joined forces with Tiesto and Mike Mago to remix “You should be sad,” the sixth single from her third studio album, Manic.

Despite her rep as one of today’s most sought after solo artists, Halsey’s had plenty of success as a featured artist in the realm of electronic dance. Just rewind back to 2016 when her smash number-one hit “Closer” with The Chainsmokers dominated the charts, remaining one of the most timeless pop jams of the 2010s. Not to mention “Boy with Luv,” which saw Halsey team up with K-pop superstars BTS for one of 2019’s biggest dance tracks.

That said, we’re excited to see what direction Halsey and Marshmello take on tonight's collab.
